It's more something like a story, but it fits with something Davide wrote:
Karl Marx died and went to heaven. One day god called him to see him.
God: So is this the civilization you dreamt at -showing ex-U.S.S.R-this is just a disaster.
Karl Marx :Look who's talking-showing the earth.
I can say it better in Greek, the translation is a bit free.
And something else:
You can really see ,when you really can't see-mine
and something that is true:
Curse is a Will as well!!So when a star falls you decide the way it goes

My own little quote: "If it makes you happy, that's good enough for me."
Of course I mean true happiness , since I believe that's what we're all searching for here on Earth.
Edit: Is that concieted, quoting yourself? Oh well

The quote I have in my sig is one of my favorites:
Among those whom I like or admire, I can find no common denominator, but among those whom I love, I can: all of them make me laugh." - WH Auden =]

Oh! I just remembered the quote on the back of my vietnam lighter (Dong ha 65 - 66). "Killing for peace was like f***ing for virginity."
I know that's a little edgy, but I had to post it 'cause it's such a good point.

I remember that quote. Yes, people said that all the time during Vietnam, do you know how said it first?

| No idea. I've always wondered how sayings like that became famous though. Did someone just say it and it caught on? I used to try and make up words and sayings that would eventually become famous. Ya...never worked.

I think it's the way you said. It's like jokes spread,if they are funny people like them and then they can repeat them with a pretty funny way they spread away.I'm one of the worst joke tellers,so if someone tells a joke to me ,the joke has no future

I also like Newton's "on the shoulders of giants" quote, but I don't remember it in its entirety.

Also, I can't get enough of my Hendrix quotes:
"If society is a second womb, then suicides and accidental deaths are spontaneous abortions, while socially sanctioned wars and executions are willful ones. That's what all the controversy was about in the past century: whether women individually should be allowed to do inside their wombs what men for millennia had been doing collectively inside the womb of patriarchal society." - Howard Hendrix, Better Angels

Sounds very "The Labyrinth"
Here's one:
"A bird in the hand is worth two"
My partner often (mistakenly) misquotes, cracks me up.
