do you feel like your couscious of the state of the world ?

I got a magazine called "adbusters" this week as I thought I would have a change. I have been reading it intensely and agree with a lot of what it says. I am determined to do TV turn-off week and other things.
But I was wondering how many of you out there do your bit to rid the world of its scars, such environmental disaster and corporate dominance and any other imposing detrimental worldwide thing/action ?
I mean I try to recycle my paper and cans, I can drive but choose to cycle as it doesn't pollute the enviroment, eat things that haven't been mass-produced and been couscious of the effect I have on the environment in what I buy and use. I would like to do more, but circustances prevent me, preferably I would like to live elsewhere where I am not mentally attacked from the tv, the newspaper, politicians trying to enslave me.
also does anybody feel like this ? do you have any ideas beyond what I have mentioned ? I do in the uk so it might be different where you are.
