Most beautiful Word?

Sort of like the Prodigy song (It’s a little old by now, but the sound of the guy saying INHALE! Is awesome  )

OH another one is “shatter” and “confinement”, I’m not sure why I like this words, maybe I can relate to them :sigh:

According to some study these design people did, the most beautiful two words are: Cellar Door

Despite what everyone likes to say and despite the fact that I’ve seen Donnie Darko twice now, I really don’t see all that much in “Cellar Door,” even though I did bestow that name upon my iPod.

Tolkien was the one to say it’s the most beautiful expression in the English language. It sounds ok to me, but no bells ring from it.

If you ask me for an expression, I’d say my favourite is “high hopes.”

 You are SO right!

My favorite word: Love. For a couple of reasons, actually…

  1. It’s the best thing on Earth. ^^

  2. I rarely say it, and when I do, I sorta get all embarrassed and shy. (Which I like for some reason. :eh: shrugs :shy: )

  3. It’s fun to say in different accents.

  4. It’s funny to say it really low and fast, “Luffluffluff!” :content:

I love the word “Star”, “dream”, “cold”, and “ice”

Hmm…I like the word “effervescent.” Has someone said that already?

I like “panacea”

Most of the words i really like are to do with geology…

geomorphic
orogeny
turbidity (current)
gneiss

I could easily carry on

/me runs away and hides before she is pelted with rocks

I dont really know

I dont think this one is “pretty” , but rather funny and cool .

Mathm hobbit-word for thing that you dont wanna trow but dont have a use for atm

“RoBoBoB”

^^ The capitalisation reminds me of DoCoMo

“Nullification” all the way. It’s not so beautiful, but it’s so dreadful sounding, it’s almost beautiful, if in a twisted kind of way. Another word in this category is “annhialation.”

The least beautiful word? “Peacock!” We might as well call it the Urinegenitals bird! Beautiful bird, terrible name.

Last night I remembered that thread and managed to think of a whole bunch of english words… most of them i forogt of course.

mirage
oblivious
sentinel
descendant
not sure about that one: syllable

What are these:
effervescent
gneiss

And why is the second one suppoused to be beatiful?

I just like the sound of the word gneiss
information about gneiss (click) it is a metamorphic rock

Think it’s been said before but, melancholy.

Also, all time favourite word = onomatopoeia

lol. Wouldn’t it be Smallgreenvegetablegenitals bird?

“Cellar Door” is supposed to be the most beautiful word, based on the way it sounds; not the meaning of the word.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellar_door
(Donnie Darko was a great movie, if you haven’t seen it I suggest you rent it.)

I would say that the most beautiful word is ‘free’. Whether you mean ‘Free beer’ or ‘Free speech’ I love it when things are free.

I guess so. I made that joke in my head, and I hence didn’t spell out “p-e-a-c-o-c-k.” It sound’s like “pee,” OK?
