Well after reading over this I found out something so simple…what’s 2012? 2, 0+1+2=3…23. December 23 2012 is (number of letters) 8 (which is 2 to the third power, and that’s 23 too.) Now 8 (the number of letters in December) +2+3+2+1+2= 18 divided by 12 is a fraction of 1.5 (or 3/2!!!)
2012 is 2+1+2=5 the roman symbol is the V, the V is halve of a W which has 2 points pointing down and three pointing up, and it’s also the 23rd letter in the alphabet. 8 (Letters) pluse the number of numbers (6) that’s 14 divided by 3 is (4.666)
666 divided by 3 is 222 (three two’s which is 23) Oh yea, Lucid Dreaming (13 letters) divided by 23 is 1.769231 (there’s a 23 in there) 69 divided by 3 is 23. then the left over numbers 1+7+1= 9 which is 3 squared (23)
((PS: Btw I’m doing this with out even thinking it’s really freaky breaking this down on the spot. Come to think of it I want to know about 23. That’s why I made this topic, if I can get 23 out of a simple date, then where does 23 show up? “This number is showing up everywhere”-Jim Carrey’s character in the up coming movie on Febuary 23rd…but take his place and let’s find an answer to…the number twenty-three. By the way I just punched this into my calculator… there are 11 letters in Twenty-three… 23 divided by 11 is… get this… 2.090909 (flip those 9’s upside down to get 666…oh yea by the way, what’s three to the second power? 9… and don’t forget the classic 3 divided by 2 is .666)

I know what you mean. Something has been happaning in, and it just keeps getting more intence the closer we get to the Myan date. I dont know what to think of it. I would really like to get some opinions on this. Its very obvious that science fiction is really bluring the line between fantasy, and reality.
yeah but if you looked at EVERYTHING the same way you did with “LD4all”, looking for any plausible way for it to add up to 23 - you could do it with anything.
Most believe that the 23 phenomenon is similar to the 11:11 phenomenon. (11:11 says some nonsense about spirits and times on digital clocks when the digits repeat.) This is known in the scientific community as Confirmation Bias; when the observer tends to search for or interpret information in a way that confirms one’s preconceptions, leading to statistical errors. We are not very reliable when it comes to fairly analyzing events due to preconcieved notions we hold, like that of the 23 phenomenon.
And one thing that I’ve always been annoyed about is the whole 2/3=.666 thing. 2/3 is actually .667 or .6667, so please do math correctly. I’ll bet there has to be some number that the first number divided by the second equals .666, but I’ve never tried.
I like to call that the Wizard Of Floyd effect. When you ignore all the things that DON’T add up to 23, the things that DO add up look a lot more numerous than they really are. Just like when you play Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon while watching The Wizard of Oz. For everything that fits, there’s 100 things that don’t. If you try hard enough, you can find the same thing with any number or film/album mixture.
The discordians call this the law of fives (2+3=5), they say that every number is in some way directly or indirectly related to the number five. The law of fives is a metaphor for how the human mind sees patterns and order everwhere, even in places where there is no order.
Basically this is the idea behind the idea of the number 23 appearing everywhere. If you expect to see 23 everywhere you look you will see 23 everywhere you look.
