first of all, to LD4all
It's important to remember that we have many dreams every night even if we don't remember them.
So
1. make it an habit to try to recapture your dreams as soon as you wake up
2. before you go to sleep, set the intention that you WILL REMEMBER your dreams
3. allow yourself time to just lie in bed when you first wake .. as soon as you jump out of bed you are more likely to forget any dreams
4. keep a notebook and pen by your bed and write down anything you get from your dreams ....
that should start you remembering your dreams again

well in that case
1. make sure you are getting enough sleep
2. alter the time you wake up, you could just be waking at the wrong time of your sleep cycle. When I wake up during or just after REM, I don't need to make the effort to recall the dream: whereas waking up at another time I can end up either with no recalled dreams or a big effort to recapture them.

i did not fully understand you, coz i am lithuanian, though...
well, i understood your 1, i think i sleep enough, except when i get up for school...
EDIT: ooooh, now i kinda get it... alter means to change... should i get up early, or late? does it affect my dreaming? (late for me is like 12:00 AM and early like 6:00 - 7:00 AM)

that's right, change the time you wake ... either earlier or later should work. See what happens

Concentrate. Lay in your bed, and repeat a phrase such as "I will remember my dreams tonight". Mean it.
Don't go to sleep too late or too tired.
Use cheese or chocolate.
Best of luck for you.

I was having trouble with recall a few weeks ago and I found that eating late helped.
Try having something to eat about an hour before you go to bed then set your alarm for about 20-30mins before you would normally wake. The theory is that you'll then be intterupting your normal REM cycle so that your mind doesn't have time to subsume the memory of whatever dream you're having at the time.
I think that's right but if anyone knows better or more then I'm sure they'll help out.

OK Nice imagery hon cheers.
It does quite often happen like that though. If you try too hard it always seems to be just out of reach, where as if you relax just a little bit you allow your brain some space to work.
Congratulations. I'll bet it was worth the wait!

Hi guys. I just became interested in LD a few days ago, and the first step for me is DR. I have trouple remembering dreams because I don't notice I wake up, if that makes sense. I wake up, but because I'm so groggy, I don't realize it. By the time I do, I've lost the dream. This morning, however, I remembered it about... a half hour or so after I got out of bed, but I would like to remember them when I want to, not randomly.
Any advice?

you just need to get into the habit of remember to recapture your dreams as soon as you wake; keep a pen and notebook by the bed to scribble anything you recall down.
Setting the intention to remember them before you go to sleep ... not jumping out of bed as soon as you wake, allow yourself some time to lie still and recall them.
Also make sure you are getting enough sleep. If recall doesn't improve, then experiment with changing the time you wake up. I find that when I wake during or just after a REM period I don't need to make as much effort to recall the dream
