Do Outside Sources Help?

I’ve always wondered if this either helped or hurted the chances of having a LD.

Does having some kind of outside noise help the chances of having a LD? For example, music playing or the television on low as I fall asleep?

Actually it helps quite a few people. In fact, there are certain sounds and music that are specifically designed to induce LD’s. Of course it varies from person to person. I for one can’t sleep with any noise whatsoever except for a fan.

Let’s see if I can conjure up a LD with the sounds of Michael Giacchino playing in the backround, then.

Hmm, outside noises are more or less disturbing my progress to LD (especially when the clock radio plays songs I dont like  ) Im just the type who get lucid by internal events, like DS or something

i know the sound of crickets sometimes helps me

I tried going to bed with the television on, and my Star Trek DVDs playing. No lucid, but I did have a rather uneventful Normal Dream about Star Trek.

I am a Star Trek geek.
