In a lot of my ND's the perspective kind of shifts.
At times, I'm myself and I can see out of my own eyes, but other times I'll be watching myself, sort of as if I'm watching a movie.
I don't recall having a lot of(if any) control over myself in ND's, but I never have control when I'm watching myself. Just found this rather peculiar  Sort of like an OBE in a dream rather than in the real world.
Current LD goal(s): Eat a chocolate cake

I used to get that a lot when I played lots of 3rd person games.

AS far as I've heard, dreaming in 3rd person actually isn't that unusual. I can't remember it happening to me, but I have experienced a couple of dreams in which I'm simply observing. Like in a movie. Quite strange, actually. Even weirder is the fact that when that has happened, I've never seen myself...

I've experienced both of those, and also one other perspective....
I've had a dream where I was semi lucid, and was in a bathroom. I turned and looked in the mirror and saw a different person! Not only was the person different, but they were obviously in major distress, which confused me for a moment, since I was calm and centered at the same time.
