| Typical DC: someone you know in WL? |

Just a random thought I had, and I wanted to see what other dreamers' experiences were: DCs seem to take one of three forms—people you know in WL, people that don't exist in WL but whom you know in the dream, and people who don't exist in WL and play the role of strangers to you in your dream. In my non-lucid dreams, my DCs are almost always people I know in WL, and it's very rare for me to encounter a DC who is a stranger to me even in the dream. Is this the case for most people, or are there people here who have mostly "strangers" in their dreams?

For me it varies. But I never actually talk to the strangers. Either they play no role or I'm being chased by them (or I fight them).
One thing I noticed is that I cannot remember faces. Sometimes I know that I was with somebody I know in WL, but I can't remember who exactly.

I mostly have DC's from WL. And I can clearly remember them and their role in my dreams. But also there are some strangers, and I can't remember their faces...

The same thing, in most cases they're known and if not, I forget their faces as soon as I wake up. However, I once was able to recall a name and surname of a stranger, later on when I looked up for him in various social sites, I couldn't find him.

Most of them are people I know IRL, but there are dreams in which I meet strangers and talk with them.
Sometimes I remember some details about their fisical appearence, like the colour of their hair and their eyes, or the shape of their nose.

That's all interesting! A few nights ago I had a dream where the DCs were almost all strangers, but as dB_FTS said, when I woke up I couldn't remember the faces. Now that I think about it, I almost never remember faces of the rare stranger from my dream.

Strangely, 2 people I sortof know in WL are in my dreams increasingly often. One is always helping/guiding me, while the other is just... confusing.

Most of the people I dream of are people I know IRL, and strangers are rarely important to the plot of the dream. But, they are occasionally.

Most of my DCs are friends and relatives I rarely meet or talk IRL... Strange

I have quite a lot of dreams where strangers play an important role. Interestingly those strangers may also be people I know, but only while I'm dreaming, after I wake up I realize that I've never seen those people. I would say that strangers are in maybe 35% of my dreams (that doesn't mean though that there are no people I know IWL in these dreams).
