Waking up on will
PostPosted: Tue 28 Aug, 2012  Reply with quote

Many times it happens to me that I'm having a nightmare or just a very unpleasant dream (not lucid) and in my head I go like "no no no I don't like this I want to wake up!" and then I do actually wake up.

Does this happen to you? I'm just wondering if it's normal in "normal dreams" or if it might mean I'm actually slightly lucid during those nightmares.

Current LD goal(s): make my lucidity last more than a few seconds

Well, if you specifically said to yourself 'I want to wake up' then that indicates that you were at least slightly lucid. When I was younger (6 or 7) I would squeeze my eyes shut whenever I had a nightmare and looking back, I think I might of been a little bit lucid. Hope this helps, and good luck with having your 2nd LD!

Current LD goal(s): Have a very high level of lucidity in a dream.

ive always been able to wake up from my dreams. whether or not it was a nightmare or a normal dream. ive never really thought of it as something odd....of course ive been lucid dreaming since i was very young. i can also do it if im not even close to being lucid.
