the librarian raises an eyebrow. “a history book. involving elves. wherever could such a book possibly belong.” her eyebrow arches higher, and after a judgemental pause she places the book firmly next to the hobbit.
“do i want. a book.” her eyebrow reaches new heights. “you are full of quite mysterious questions today.”
she takes a few moments to examine the creepy book. “oh no,” she says with feigned disappointment. “looks like we will have to put this one in the restricted section,” she sighs affectively. “that means only qualified researchers will be allowed to access it, and it wont be allowed to be taken out of the library. what a shame.”
Week 2,
Sunday: dream journal entry, meditation
Monday: rc on waking. Broke Internet diet. Fell asleep instead of meditating.
Tuesday: dream journal entry, rc on waking, meditation (+ Vajrayogini sadhana, which probably also counts as a meditation)
Wednesday: dream journal entry, rc on waking. Broke internet diet to post this. Will probably meditate later today, honest…
P.S. I claim the “superhero” task - see my dream hournal entry “telepathic superhero”
im actually very surprised how many people are managing to remember them!
we are about halfway through the LC already, and have found 18 books. the librarian was hoping for a nice round three dozen, so we are halfway there! the good news is we are on track, but just barely, so keep up the good effort
at this rate, it might come down to just one or two books, whether we all win or all lose. so every book counts and everyone has the chance to make a difference!
the librarian arches her one eyebrow to new heights. “maybe some elves?” she asks. “lets see. elves, with an elven backstory, and elven weapons, and elven objects, going to an elven banquet.”
she somehow manages to snatch the fantasy book from you despite that you didn’t realize you were holding one, and places it between the hobbit and Le Bateleur’s elf history book.
congrats on our first official fantasy book gotten from a fantasy dream!

I have recently bought a meditation cushion (zafu). I meditated without one before, but had heard they were popular in other styles of yoga. The cushion has been getting a lot of use in this LC. On enquiring further it turns out that my usual yoga style also recommends a cushion for some of the meditations.
This morning: hatha yoga after waking up. It turns out that I am out of practise, and no longer have enough flexibility in my legs to do “the water jug”. (I.e. Seated forward bend)
1 DJ Entries
1 time meditation
1 RC upon waking up
Claiming points for seeing a mythical creature (a giraffe/octopus/dragon) and for being one (an oger)
Claiming points for the fantasy genre dream.
I asked a lot of knights to come swear an oath on their sword that I helped kill the beast so that the other knights would stop chasing me.
Oh hey, look. Surprise tasks! I could almost toss up between both the scifi and the fantasy dream tasks… but since there was more scifi due to the tech and time travel portals I’ve decided to claim that one instead of the other.
dream magical creatures are my new favorite thing, between obfusc8’s goat/dog/dragonfly and Koal44’s octopus/giraffe/dragon (dream art, anyone? i would love to see these creatures!)
Susan_Y: ive always wanted one of those cushions, my legs fall asleep after 10 minutes when i sit without one
Cornelia: i would totally read a book about a robot that uses magical items
PremiumOtter: the longer you stay consistent the more impressed i am!
the last week of the challenge is coming soon… stay tuned to see what the final tasks will be!
