Well, before I saw Indiana Jones 4 I saw Iron Man
I liked it :D

And I saw this movie called Cube.
It's a cool/weird movie.

Yeah
Iron Man is now my second favorite Super Hero (next to Superman)
Then, it's Batman
I can't wait until the Dark Knight comes out!

I hated Iron Man. Soooo (continue o's) cliche ridden and stupid. Robert Downey Jr. only made up for it and he was better in a Scanner Darkly/Zodiac.

The Onion Movie.

BRILLIANT! It may be hard to catch it all, but the movie really bashes the hell out of society, and they do it through hilarious sketches and news reports etc.

Go rent The Onion Movie!

Iron man was alright for entertainment purposes, and Downey Jr. played the role brilliantly. This is a big year for super hero movies, and the wait for Dark Knight is eating me alive:(.

As far as new movies I've seen that have stood out...Film Noir, I found was a visual masterpiece, and a great action flick too (a real homage to the old genre).
And Survive Style 5+, I'm not sure how to describe this movie, but..I promise you'll never see anything like it.

Yeah, I want to see the Incredible Hulk
I'm not sure how that will be compared to Iron Man

Today I rented two movies
The Mist- Okay movie. I liked it. I just thought the ending was too sad. But, I guess not every movie can be happy...

Jumper- I NEED TO TELEPORT IN MY NEXT LD!The movie went by too fast. I think it would of beenMORE gooder as a TV show. How many hours are there in a television series? And how many in a movie?

I don't know how to explain why it would of done better as a television show.
I guess it's because there would of been more mystery and more time for action.
It looked like the movie tried to put some mystery in, but it didn't work out very well...

lol. I feel like a film critic

So... favourite films?
PostPosted: Fri 04 Jul, 2008  Reply with quote

and I'm still new here so hello to all!

What is/are some of your favourite films?
I must say, I have a top seventeen of favourite films, all of which are the only films I've rated a 10/10.
They are (in order):
one. eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (michel gondry, 2004)
two. the truman show (peter weir, 1998)
three. punch-drunk love (paul thomas anderson, 2002)
four. taxi driver (martin scorsese, 1976)
five. la vita è bella (roberto benigni, 1997)
six. requiem for a dream (darren aronofsky, 2000)
seven. one flew over the cuckoo's nest (milos forman, 1975)
eight. 2001: a space odyssey (stanley kubrick, 1968)
nine. groundhog day (harold ramis, 1993)
ten. barry lyndon (stanley kubrick, 1975)
eleven. a clockwork orange (stanley kubrick, 1971)
twelve. psycho (alfred hitchcock, 1960)
thirteen. ferris bueller's day off (john hughes, 1984)
fourteen. dog day afternoon (sidney lumet, 1975)
fifteen. rear window (alfred hitchcock, 1954)
sixteen. westworld (michael crichton, 1973)
seventeen. child's play (tom holland, 1988)

I re-watched Requiem For A Dream yesterday and it didn't seem as good, but, it's still very good. It's emotional impact is astounding.

As you may gather, I'm a hopeless romantic (and too young to be one at that) so yeah...

Welcome to Ld4all Major Tom! :D
Quite a list there, the only movie out of that list I've seen is number 7, which was quite a good movie (though as usual the book was better.)

I haven't seen the Iron man, but I have seen the Incredible Hulk.Pretty good movie, better than the last Hulk movie, has some nice action in it, better plot than the other story as well.

on IMDB, Ironman got better ratings than The Incredible Hulk.

Thankyou viddy much!
You've not seen any of the others?! You should, they're all good.
I've never read the book for Cuckoo's Nest, I want to, but I've never had the patience to search around for it, meh.
I read that it's told from Chiefs point-of-view, which seems weird.
I love it though, Jack's performance was amazing and the cast was just, wow. Look at them all, all young and fresh!

I must say, I've not seen any of the ones you've listed. I've read about eXistenZ and it sounds like an interesting concept, and David Cronenburg is highly respected in the world of film.
