Me: It wouldn't have been much of a movie if Neo chose the blue pill. I might just have to get them on dvd. It might be fun to watch them while always thinking "Matrix = Dream" I seem to compare a lot of things to dreaming now that I've given dreaming some real thought. Talk of dreaming occurs a lot more than I realized, especially in music.
Nova: We've basically given up on creating another character for now. Daniel can't concentrate enough on me as it is. The burden of another voice, or even a pet would be too much for him. Maybe creating another character can be a reward for having more LD's
Me: It's not really something I want to rush into. Most of you guys seem to have no problem creating more characters but if I do make another character I want it to be at the right time for the right reason, not just for the sake of making another one. I'd feel terrible if the character just faded away after a while.
Nova: Which means you're stuck with me  Maybe you'll get some ideas for characters or pets in a dream.
Me:Or maybe Tallis has a really good idea for what sort of pet you should have. Anyway, (off on a random tangent) I have been writing a character for a story over the last month or so. Over the last couple of days in particular I fleshed him out and in a dream I had last night I actually was him. Interesting how dreams work. I've encountered just about everyone I can think of by now, old friends, distant relatives, fictional characters and now my own characters. Now I just have to get Nova to appear more often.
Nova: We're working on it....

Orion: YAYS, WE'RE FAMOUS NOW! *Does 50 page dance with CyberD* Does this mean We can come more often now everything is squared off. Albedo finally came when a called him up in a dream... Now, offense, sweetness... I know you are really busy with all that Albedo stuff you do.
Albedo: None taken, Orion.
Orion: And after we managed to rip the duct tape off of my face (Quite painfully, I might add.) KocoBassa started getting really sick-like... Well, like how I'm always nauseous and in some form of stomach pain >.< to much butter in my grilled cheezes and grits.
KocoBassa: Orion, I still feel awful!
Orion: Yes, yes I know. Then again, the both of us have been pretty stressed out as of late. *Reads posts* OOOOHOHHO! Are we talking about the matrix, now?! I like the first one...Sort of... I don't really remember much but we own it.
Liana: Ugh... Cyber punk isn't for me. Orion, maybe, but not me. *Shivers*
Orion: Still scarred after Lain, aren't you, sis? I tried to warn you that you weren't going to get it.
Hanyuu: Most of us didn't get it though... Just Orion. But, you know...She's Orion.
Orion: Darn, right. I get everything! Except for Scientology... Interesting, but just hard to get. Anyhow *To CyberD* Koco didn't have any problems with us. Me and Liana were made and finalized YEARS before she came to the forum and Albedo and Hanyuu are just real fictional characters that got thrown into the entire mess. Granted I was the one thrown into Albedo's mess as part of Koco's self-inserting Xenosaga fantasies. I was originally created to be an imaginary OC in the Legend of Zelda franchise...Then she met Albedo. Heck, I'll have her post mine and Liana's entire pack story in a spoiler if you guys want. It's pretty cool...
KocoBassa: Orion, you aren't supposed to remember your Zelda days!
Orion: Oh, yeah, that's right...Oh well. *Shrug*
Albedo: Yeah the circumstances of our wedding is rather odd too.
Orion: "We were married by Mermaid Man because we wouldn't let him eat his meatloaf." Is the age old joke in my family.
Albedo: There wasn't even a proper license.
KocoBassa: Probably my fault...
Orion: *To Fennecgirl* I will warn you though before we go...Be warned when you watch the second and third Matrix movies. Popular consensus says they weren't that good. KocoBassa was young at the time and therefore fell asleep during the both of them.

Me: Everyone disappeared.
Nova: It's only been a week, just get the topic back on top of the page and they might remember.
Me: Yeah. I wonder how everyone has been going. Having lots of good LD's I hope. I've had some real success this week and the LD I had last night was the best one I've ever had. It was the first dream I really felt I was there, instead of just some half asleep version of me going around and doing random things.
Nova: You'll be needing some goals for future dreams though. You should probably write them down, just not here.
Me: Yep. I'll get right on that. But first. Has anyone had any really good dreams lately? And were any of them thanks to CALD? In my dream last night Nova made a fireball, which I think is the first "supernatural" thing I've seen in a dream, besides me flying a little bit. It was kinda small though, only the size of a golf ball.
Nova: We were inside and I didn't want to start a fire.
Me: We need to stop caring about property damage during dreams.
A lot of people say the second and third Matrix movies aren't as good. I can agree with that on some level but I think it's mainly because you lose the "charm" of the first movie, in the sense you aren't learning all about this new matrix thing and instead just have to follow the story. I enjoyed all three if that counts for anything.
Nova: Also, we've given up on creating a new character for now. None of Daniel's ideas are sticking so it's still just us. No pets either, which is a bit of a shame.

Leijona: Well I have to say that I have no idea what is going on here at the moment, my brain obstinately refuses to take in any new information.
Neila: However we got better at having written conversations! 
Leijona: Okay, let me try to wake up my brain (damn it, why do holidays have this effect?!) So, hello Kayleigh! *to fennec* Mind to tell us a bit more about you and Kayleigh? (Man, brain’s so mashed that I already think about nicknames for Kayleigh >.< I have to get more and better sleep...) The idea with the memory and logic games is great, I did it for some time during WBTB with good success.
Neila: Logical inquiry: Why did you stop?
Leijona: Err... *to fennec* Belated Happy Birthday!  Is it even appropriate to say that this late? *to Koco*I don’t know why, but a few days ago I randomly had the urge to watch that Elfen Lied you mentioned, like, half a year ago, and I have to say, the story is quite intriguing. *to fennec and CyberD* Congrats on your LDs! *to CyberD* I’m having a minor problem here.  Should we call you now Daniel or CyberD? Any really good dreams? Mhh…nope. As in, no dreams at all. I’ve recorded 22 dreams over the last month. I just counted them. *scratches head* Man, this is really lame. Really.
Neila: Wow, and now you’re talking in fragments of no more than 10 words.
Leijona: Meh. *to CyberD again* Amongst them are one dream about the Chat and one dream about Gan, but those are already from July. I did have one DILD though. Positive. I got it because of unfamiliar sleeping area and bad sleep. Neutral with tendency to negative. I don’t remember a lot from the dream. Negative. I broke a 72 days long dry spell. Don’t know if I feel like cheering or crying. 
Neila: I, too, have mixed feelings. That are almost two and a half months, you set a new personal record...
Leijona: *sigh* Yeah it’s pretty bad. Whatever. Maybe my motivation will come back. Sometime. 
Gan: *slaps Leijona with a rolled up newspaper*
Leijona: Oww! What was that for?!
Gan: Now you don’t have any mixed feelings anymore. 
Leijona: You’re a bit late with that. *senses a drama-queen-acting coming* Okay, thank you. -__-
Gan: Hehe. You’re sure easy to manipulate.
Leijona: If you‘re bored, do something useful, like bringing Kubiku and Sheela back. Jeez, those two are con-stant-ly missing!
Gan: And why me? Why not Iron?
Leijona: Because you just smacked me with a newspaper! Besides, you and Sheela are practi-cally best friends.

Me: All of everyone's laziness is contagious, I shouldn't take so long to make a new post. Bah, at least there aren't pages of posts to read. Firstly @Leijona, I don't think it really matters what you guys call me. It's easier for Nova to call me Daniel but I don't really mind either way. Sorry for the confusion
Nova: We're still wondering about the whole pet thing. It's become just like getting a real pet, a commitment. Can't just come up with something and go with it because of the fear it'll disappear in a few days. Having a dog would be cool but then I'd have to take it everywhere. It'd become more of a focus and everything would become all about the dog.
Me: I blame it on not having a multi-track mind. I dunno how you guys can focus on more than one character at a time, let alone have conversations with them all at once. I guess it just doesn't come as naturally to me, which is all the more reason to practice. Maybe someday another character will come to me, it'd be really cool to use one that comes exclusively from a dream. I'll have to put that search on my lucid to do list.
Nova: Having a dog like me though? Well I can imagine a big shaggy dog with long brown hair but it doesn't seem the type to breath fire... or transform. We already have a dog anyway, a real one. He doesn't know I exist but I don't see how that matters. He's really clingy and gets fur everywhere anyway so that's probably for the best.
Me: That reminds me, what ever happened to Tallis's dragon?

Gan: *to Nova* Why’d you have to take the dog everywhere? Are you present in CyberD’s real life non-stop?
Leijona: It’s not like my characters joined all at once. They arrived one at a time, besides for Kubiku and Iron, those two came together. But since Kubiku doesn’t talk a lot and all in all isn’t very (physically) active, his presence doesn’t soak up much conscious attention.
Kubiku: *grumbles*
Leijona: Why, having your sensitive day, eh?
Sheela: Stop picking on my boyfriend everyone! 
Leijona: Also mind that I don't imagine my MCs as real persons in my everyday life, they're only in my head. I guess that makes it easier for me. On a completely unrelated topic, while writing in my DJ I realized that I’ve had two dreams which involved Neila for a short time, one of them again me being Neila.  *to Neila* Stop taking the main role in my dreams!
Neila: More like, get your own dream body instead of passively possessing mine.

Albedo: For all of those who are unsure to Orion's hyper behavior is she just had a rather rich piece of chocolate cake in celebration of a subsiding cold. I am veeery happy for her *Hugs and kisses on cheek*
Orion: Nooooo! Not in front of people! Even, then, it was pretty bad. It showed up right after Koco started classes back up and I lost my voice and had to take measures so the sinus headache wouldn't keep me up at night. Well, Albedo and Liana did. They get very concerned about me when I get sick and they'll do anything to make it better. Albedo, I don't mind, but Liana needs to quit putting wet towels on my face.
Liana: I'm treating you for the cold Orion.
Orion: Yeah...And what oath does that break? I'll let you treat more severe stuff, but...
KocoBassa: *Sniff* Eh, Neila is right... The smell of double standards is crazy. It reminds me of Orion's whole 'I'm a Russian Meridian' farce.

Psycho:Hiya:) *To CyberD* The dragon is fine, but because I made him a dragon egg that he had to hatch first, the dragon is a baby dragon, and only speaks draconean. We are teaching him english right now:)
Tallis: Yes, instead of just making a FULL GROWN dragon Ali decided to make a dragon egg, which I had to hatch, and am taking care of. What's with this WE stuff?

Me: So I've been doing a bit of thinking and I've come to realize that CALD has become my own rather unique approach to lucid living. I never really thought much about it, or read much into it but the more I think about it the clearer it is. When I am focused on Nova I am focused on myself as well, I am in my head, not just mindlessly going about my day. It all seems very deep but I am not nearly eloquent enough to express it.
Nova: Just leave it at "It's complicated" like you do with everything else dream related.
Me: Yeah, I'd probably just rant for ages and not really say much of anything... so moving on.
@Leijona. Nova's not always present, I wouldn't mind if he was but that's too much work for my poor concentration. Also, he isn't always a "real person" if you can put it that way...? By that I mean often it's just his voice and we talk that way.
Nova: @Gan; The whole conflict of a pet/more characters seems to bother CyberD greatly. He thinks that if he makes more characters that I'll be neglected. Having a pet that "belongs" to me will mean that I have to be around whenever it is and if for some reason I'm around and it isn't that it'll be neglected. CALD is complicated.
Me: That and I haven't really had any outstanding ideas for more pets or characters. I simply don't feel up to creating a brand new fleshed out character and I am more than content with just Nova.
@Numerous people? From what I've heard Serial Experiments Lain is an anime you really have to pay close attention to understand. That's probably one of the reasons I haven't gotten around to it yet but I have heard good things.
Nova: @Psycho; How in the world do you teach a dragon English? I understand how dreams and stuff work but the whole idea of training a dragon to speak is just bizarre to me. I suppose the dragons in Skyrim had to learn to speak English somehow but imagining them as baby dragons stumbling over words...
Me: I think I prefer the dragons from "How to train your dragon" That wonderful movie is about the extent of my dragon knowledge. Compared to some of you guys I am clueless as far as dragons go. Talking dragons are way beyond me.
Also, I'd just like to say that in every single one of my lucid dreams my goal has been without fail to locate Nova. Success rate seems to be a bit over 50% so far. What do you guys end up doing in your lucid dreams? Do you get your characters involved or do you sometimes just do stuff on your own?

Neila: But just maybe. *sigh* Motivation, do you know it?
Leijona: Obviously not, but there are more important things in my life right now. *to CyberD* Hmm... *checks past LDs* Sometimes, when I'm in the LC, I of course try to complete those tasks. A lot of time I just fly around and explore. I wasted a lot of LDs on trying hard to resolve a problem which I basically caused myself to a big degree, but that was like a year ago (whoa, a whole year?!) My goal was for a long time to meet my MCs, but I eventually gave it a bit more of a minor priority because I found that I was trying way too hard and I've already achieved that a couple of times (not nearly as much as I wish though). Often I also do random, smaller stuff just for the sake of trying it out, like stabilizing techniques I haven't tried yet or just controlling little stuff. Interacting with the dream and DCs is something I love, I really do enjoy it to just more or less go with what the dream provides me by itself. Wow, that was a lot of rambling.

Orion: *To Morph* I feel you. KocoBassa needs to post more, but while she is tied up in Solitude right now, me and Albedo are taking over posting duties.
Albedo: *To all of the concerned people* There is no need to worry about her safety, she has plenty of food and warmth up in the city. Orion will bring her back when she feels it is necessary.
Orion: Exactly.
Liana: Does this mean I'm the only sane person left in the family??
Orion: OF COURSE NOT! *Pats Liana on the back so hard she falls on the floor* You still have George and Paul.

Orion: Again, SHH! KocoBassa's still working on my backstory! *To Neila* Don't be so hard on him! I'm sure he does his best. In the last dream I remember me and Koco went to a really cool tea shop up north. The stuff was high end and it wasn't that expensive either, next time she's lucid, we're going to try and bring Albedo with us.
Albedo: Thank you dearest, I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, with the standings of how frequent her lucid dreams have been, it probably won't be for a while still.
Orion: True, hun, but remember the 21st? Fun stuff...
Liana: My God Orion, please don't tell them that story.

Sai: *glances at Vesper* Shotgun?
Vesper: Oh yes. Please.
Morph: ...Aaand that's our cue to stop singing.
*shotgun blast is heard*
Morph: *looks down at holes in body* Oy, we stopped already!
Sai: *ejects shotgun shells* Very therapeutic. ^_^
Skaith: *hurt puppy eyes* But, but you're supposed to be the peaceful one!
Sai: ^_^ Yep, which is why I wouldn't dream of doing that to anyone that couldn't regenerate like you two can.
Vesper: Besides, we're thought constructs, remember? We can't -actually- be hurt by anything in the mindscape.
Aiden: ...Leijona, Kocobassa, can I come live in your mindscapes? This one's too crazy. XD *to Orion* Do they get touchy when you try collecting the eggs? Ours all bristle and hiss threateningly when we try gathering eggs from underneath them.
Mecha: *to Leijona* ToME 4 is pretty fun. (and free!) The new Solipsist class is awesome once you've got it unlocked. They're basically powerful psychics who think that the entire world exists only as a dream within their own mind, and reshape reality to match their views. They specialize in defense and learn several skills for putting enemies to sleep, making their nightmares a physical reality, or even entering the enemy's dreams and attacking them in the dreamscape. It's a pretty cool dream-themed class, and quite powerful as well.  (the fact that they learn lucid dreaming as an early-level skill is just icing on the cake)
