Your opinion to my "nearly" adventure?
PostPosted: Mon 19 Mar, 2012  Reply with quote

Hey guys,
This night, something scary happened to me (- got in Sleep Paralysis)
I set my Alarm-clock 3 hours before normal waking time (heard it would help initiate Lucid, yo!)...
After the Clock rang I concentradedly felt into sleep again, kinda.
Then I "woke" up and saw a freaking skinny guy on my chair sitting, typing something into my keyboard..
I also recognized the raindrops, dropping on the floor outside as steps coming out of the hallway.
Then i looked on my door and saw a freakin' little girl (like this slut out of "The Grudge")..scared the shit outta' me!
In my dream I remembered to look at my hands or start using one of my senses, i did so and they was all "Steamy" or something, looked *** weird but it got me to wake up.

I think it was a good experience and got me a step further to the state of lucid dreaming, what do you "Pros" think??
And which tips can you give me, to go through the paralysis and enter lucid..?

Greetings

Hy Levox93!

I would definitely suggest using SP for entering LD. If you can easily induce SP there is no reason not to use that.

Of course, you need to practice with such things. It's something completely new to you and things can get out of control. But keep in mind that everything is in your mind. All those creatures you see are real and scary only as much as you make them.

That's good thinking inside the dream. Do that again but I would suggest to try get your emotions in order first. Try doing that with a calm mind then you won't wake up so quick. And just practice. There will be ups and downs but it's worth every effort you put into lucid dreaming!

Hey, thanks for the quick reply!

But can you tell me, HOW I go from SP to LD? Simply try to sleep in that scary moment or keeping calm and relax even with those demons in my room?

The thing is that every dreamer experiences SP differently. Another thing is that there are differences in stages of SP. Most of the times we don't find ourselves in real SP, the real SP will be accompanied with heavy hallucinations.

I guess you were in real SP but that doesn't have to be the case because some dreamers event thought they are not in real SP they do experience hallucinations, whether those are sound, image or a feeling...

So you need to know what kind of SP you experience, for that you will need to make more tries and see for yourself! If you have those experiences with "heavy" hallucinations then try to interact with something from the hallucination. But if you have SP without heavy hallucinations then the story is a little bit different and about that I can tell more because that's the type of SP that I have.

Ok, you need to keep in mind that this whole thing about SP and lucid dreaming is much more about feeling and sensations then mere physical interaction. Everything that happens in lucid dream or SP state inside our brain in our mind. So that we control with our feelings not physical actions.

Why am I saying this? Because in either way, heavy hallucinations or not you need to pass this SP state. When you have hallucinations you interact with them and when not you still need something that will tell you that you are in SP or not.

So if you don't experience hallucinations in future try this:

Experiment with SP and your feeling while in SP, observe your body sensations and if in few attempts you get nowhere and if you know where that point from which you can't get anywhere else is then just let yourself fall asleep! Next second you should be in a lucid dream!

Good luck! If you have any more questions just ask!

Well I came here because I had a lucid dream before but after joining this site it took me a month. Because I wasn't doing on my DR and RC I was rushing into techniques for which I didn't had foundation, if you understand what I mean!

Oh, my first LD was not awesome, or great or super it was something that I can't describe with words, of course it was very much positive experience.

You are supposed to keep your eyes closed, and keep completely still through SP. Keep in mind it's best not to move your eyes much, and keep your brain active. you should either "be" in the dream suddenly, or you will be in what i call "the waiting room" and you can build the dream around you. I always did love the WILD method.
