How does the ranking system work?
The stars are related to how many posts you have made on the forum.
the more posts, the more stars.
Exeptions are the mods, who have rainbow stars, regardless of how many posts they have.
[img]hhttp://ld4all.com/forum/templates/LD4all/images /0star.gif[/img] 0-9 posts, no stars, "Sleepwalker"
10-49 posts, 1 star, "Novice Dreamer"
50-99 posts, 2 stars, "Lucid Initiate"
100-249 posts, 3 stars, "Sominologist"
250-499 posts, 4 stars, "Astral Explorer"
500-999, 5 stars, "Dream Deity"

How can I change the title above my avatar?
If you want to change your title you can do so in your profile. You need to have at least 10 posts to be able to do that.
Due to a glitch in this it is possible to add your title when you register as a new user. If you don't do it at that time you will have to make 10 posts first.
I have posted but my postcount still is 0, why?
In some forums posts are not added to your postcount. Posts in the playground, test area, helpdesk and wolfgame forum are not added to your postcount. This is to discourage ppl from making useless posts just to get a higher ranking. In the case of the wolfgame forum - the game is addicting enough as it is, so to reward players with postcount would be too much
How do you quote somebody?
In the post you want to quote, click on "QUOTE". Make sure that "Disable BBCode in this post" is unchecked
If you want to quote only part of a post, do as above, but then just delete the things you don't want.
Another way of doing it is to use the quote-tag.
Code:
[quote]text[/quote]
Some people also specify the author:
Code:
[quote="author"]text[/quote]

Can someone tell me how quotes are done?

I often see posts where one dreamer will quote another dreamers comments. Sometimes just a sentence or a few words. It appears in kind of a white box. How is that done? Could someone please tell me? Thanks.

well... when you see a post, click on "QUOTE". When ur at the next screen where u have to type in ur post, u should UNCHECK the following:
Disable BBCode in this post
Disable Smilies in this post
Make sure there is no check next to them. That should do the trick.

But this quotes the entire post. How do you quote a simple sentence?

Or you can just delete the stuff you don't want in the quote.

They copy the text of a post, put it in quote tags, take another one and put that in quote tags too.
Quote tags are:
Code:
[quote]text[/quote]
Some people also specify the author:
Code:
[quote="author"]text[/quote]

lots and lots and lots of different ways to use the quote feature.
In the "post a reply window," You can highlight a sentence, or words, and then press the "quote" button.
This will automatically add the [quote] and [/quote] tags.
