I too am getting back into it after a long hiatus. My sleep schedule was too erratic for a long time but now I am getting more regimented.

Sounds like some kind of WILD. I don't know what to suggest other than stabilization exercises (hand rubbing, spinning, etc).

IDK. I see those clouds pretty much as soon as I close my eyes. I never really associated them with deep sleep or anything.

I don't think this will work. If you don't believe its a dream, you won't have that kind of control... so I would say you need to become lucid first.

Maybe its different for you, but I would imagine you would progress beyond simple clouds before you "fell asleep" in any complete sense, if you were doing WILD right.

I know exactly how you feel. When I had my longest LDs, I felt perfectly alert when I woke up, not "groggy" at all.

I guess I just jumped to the assumption that anything that occurred after the shaking had to be a true LD. Because it sounded a lot what people describe WILD working like.

Likewise, my dream recall has totally regressed since I missed a couple days... now i'm having trouble writing the dreams down to get it back, since I don't remember them as well.
