Certain electronic devices, sounds, herbs or foods can aid you in having a lucid dream.
A typical electronic lucidity device works by detecting your eye movements in REM sleep (eg when you dream) and then reacting by giving a light signal, or a sound signal, or both. This is your cue to become lucid.
It requires some training for your subconscious to link the signals to the fact you are dreaming.
However, these gadgets have a price attached to it. And given the fact
you have to train yourself to recognize their cues as a dreamsign I would advise to train yourself to recognize something else in your dream. This has the same effect and costs you less.
Ofcourse, with an electronic device you are sure that you will get a dreamsign every single night. When you practise with your own dreamsigns, you have less change of seeing it in a dream. In that aspect, a gadget can help you on your quest for lucidity.
There is lucid food around. Eat or drink it about half an hour before going to sleep.
